|
LA Walks is a citizens' group supporting pedestrian safety, accessibility, convenience, and comfort throughout the community. We are actively engaged with the Transportation Board, TAPS (Trails and Pathways Subcommittee), the County Staff, other volunteer organizations, private developers, and the public to make Los Alamos a safer and more enjoyable place to walk. You can help! Check out our Walkability/pedestrian safety checklist and design guide. Get involved in helping to make your neighborhood a safer and better place to walk. To contact people who can help solve problems, go to our problem-solving contacts page. Reduce your carbon footprint and save money—take the Atomic City Transit bus to downtown Los Alamos or White Rock, then walk to your destination. Click here for bus routes and schedules.
Our past events page has photos, press clippings, and other information on events sponsored by LA Walks.
